Supporting Young Minds, Everywhere
By becoming a Youth Mental Health First Aider, you’ll be equipped to spot concerns early, respond with confidence, and help bridge the gap between young people and the support they need.
Becky Dawson
Becky Dawson has over 20 years of experience in education and mental health support. With 16 years in mainstream education as a drama teacher, SENCo, Safeguarding Lead, and Assistant Head, she transitioned to become the Resilience Training Lead in the London Borough of Newham, implementing a whole-system approach to mental health and wellbeing for 5 years. She developed a successful training business, providing up skilling in mental health, wellbeing, and safeguarding to those living and working with children and young people. She has also developed an alternative provision for young people outside mainstream education, focusing on self-esteem and emotional literacy. Becky is a visiting lecturer for Weston College, partners with Be Well hubs and South London and Maudsley hospital, and collaborates with the Charlie Waller Trust to promote open conversations about mental health. A Youth Mental Health First Aider, she runs reflective practice for frontline practitioners and serves as a Safeguarding Consultant for several organisations.

Youth Mental Health First Aid empowers us to listen, understand, and act with confidence, giving young people the support they need before a crisis takes hold.
