Understand the roles and responsibilities of an English subject leader.
Understand how to evaluate teaching and learning, analyse data and support colleagues in delivering an effective English curriculum. 
Be supported through the application process including school visits, writing an effective cover letter, standing out at an interview and completing an interview task. 
Be offered the opportunity to take part in an interview support or coaching session to help you further develop your career however you want it to go.

Katie Rose

Katie is a passionate and dedicated primary practitioner and subject leader, with over ten years’ experience leading literacy at both a school and trust-wide level.
She has a wealth of success and experience in leadership at different levels, including curriculum development and design, creation and delivery of CPD, innovative practice and assessment analysis. She also has experience as a KS2 moderator and SATs marker and has worked as a specialist leader of education (SLE).

Carly Watkins

Carly Watkins has over twenty years of experience as a primary school teacher, including several years as an assistant headteacher, with responsibility for whole-school curriculum development and overseeing pupil progress and attainment. She also holds a Master’s Degree in Education Practice and an NPQ in Leading Teacher Development.
Carly has been a mentor for both student and early career teachers and currently facilitates the early career framework for ECTs and their mentors, delivering training at conferences and via online seminars. At Twinkl PD, Carly heads up pedagogical professional development, a role which means she can support educators to develop their personal practice and pedagogy, something she is passionate about, on a national scale.
