Ros Wilson

Ros entered the teaching profession in 1965 and has served continuously since. She has wide experience in education, including: teaching and leading in primary, middle school and secondary schools; working with pupils with SEND; working with pupils with EAL; senior leadership; head of a large primary department overseas; local authority advisor; primary strategy manager; independent consultant; advanced skills teacher (AST) assessor; Ofsted inspector; creator and published author of Big Writing, and associated texts. Ros has written over 20 publications on writing, talk, curriculum, and assessment. Ros has recently written an exciting and amusing biography which centres on her journeys and adventures through life.

Nicola Romaine

Nicola is the National English Lead at Twinkl. A lifelong lover of literature and language, she spent 15 years sharing her passion as a primary teacher and leader of English initiatives. As a Local Authority Literacy Advisor, she witnessed firsthand how effective professional development could transform children's learning. Her national influence on English education spans a decade, collaborating with leading UK organisations. To ensure her work remains at the forefront of the field, Nicola actively engages with English experts worldwide. This international collaboration provides her with a rich, research-informed perspective that is central to all her endeavors, and which she aims to utilise to ensure the growth and relevance of Twinkl’s English product lines. She specialises in whole-school solutions for implementing English, from phonics to reading, writing and oracy, and supports educators through a variety of media.
