develop a clear understanding of national attendance trends and the impact of persistent absence and internal truancy on attainment and wellbeing;
analyse and interpret attendance data to identify risk factors, hotspot cohorts and subject‑level patterns;
design and trial relational, evidence‑informed interventions for immediate (first 30 days) and sustained attendance improvement;
strengthen partnership approaches with families, staff and external agencies to embed a whole‑school attendance culture;
set a focused personal or school action plan with practical templates to record objectives and track impact.
