John Clark

With 30 years in education,17 as a primary headteacher, John is a Trustee for a MAT. He supports school leaders with resources on a variety of themes by writing for The Leaders Team and also independently provides coaching and consultancy to schools.

John has thirty years of experience in the education sector, seventeen of them as a primary phase headteacher in large, urban schools. He’s currently a Trustee at a South West Multi Academy Trust with responsibility for school improvement and provides a range of coaching and consultancy services for schools.

John also writes for The Leaders Team at Twinkl. He’s passionate about supporting school leaders to be able to respond quickly and confidently within an ever-changing educational landscape through Twinkl’s informative and insightful resources. He has particular interest and specialisms in leadership development, building school climate and culture, behaviour management, equalising disadvantage in the school system, pedagogy and curriculum design. He uses this expertise to develop high quality, thoughtful content designed to support busy senior teams.

In his spare time John coaches adults to develop their literacy with the charity Read Easy. He is a keen paddleboarder, bikepacker and gravel cyclist with a passion for adventuring.
