Becky Dawson has over 20 years of experience in education and mental health. She spent 16 years in mainstream education as a drama teacher, SENCo, Safeguarding Lead and Assistant Head, and 5 years as Resilience Training Lead in Newham, implementing a whole-system mental health approach. She contributed to the Zinc Venture project, aimed at improving mental health for 300 million children globally. She has also developed an alternative education programme for children with SEND and is a visiting lecturer for Weston College. She partners with South London and Maudsley Hospital “Be Well” hubs and the Charlie Waller trust. She is the National Wellbeing Lead for Twinkl, with a focus on ensuring all education stakeholders have access to high quality resources to ensure wellbeing in education is central to their work.

Sue has over thirty years’ experience in education with the last fifteen years as a headteacher in both independent and mainstream schools. She has a Master’s in Educational Leadership and is studying part-time for an Education Doctorate (EdD) researching Supervision in Education. Sue uses her wealth of experience to write for The Leaders Team at Twinkl. She is particularly passionate about helping leaders save time, remain informed and balance their workload by creating and developing a range of informative and useful resources.

Sarah Hammond has over a decade of experience in education, beginning her teaching career in 2013. She has worked as a classroom teacher, middle leader, ITT subject lead and Assistant Principal, specialising in continuing professional development (CPD), attendance, initial teacher training (ITT), and supporting early career teachers (ECTs). With CPD at the heart of her work, Sarah is passionate about empowering leaders to develop their skills, enhance their confidence, and improve outcomes across schools. As CPD Commercial Manager at Twinkl, she brings together her leadership experience and her commitment to lifelong learning to shape and deliver professional development that is actionable, impactful, inclusive, and future-focused.

Natalie is an experienced senior leader who has worked in a range of school provisions, including pupil referral units, alternative education pathways, and mainstream primary and secondary schools. She has a wealth of experience in creating bespoke learning pathways for SEND learners and specialises in special educational needs and disabilities, and social, emotional, and mental health. Natalie writes for Twinkl Digest, teaches children in the North of England, and is passionate about helping teachers to remain in the profession.

Rebecca is Director of Education at Twinkl. She is a qualified headteacher with an MA-Ed in SEND & Digital Learning, who has worked in the education sector for over 15 years as; an English teacher, Head of Department (Careers, PSHE & Media), Whole School Literacy Lead (KS3-KS5), Assistant Headteacher (secondary) and Trust Teaching Excellence Lead (EYFS-KS4). Through her role at Twinkl, Rebecca works closely with school leaders and educators, to develop thought leadership initiatives that promote innovative, inclusive, and effective teaching and learning practices.

Carly Watkins has over twenty years of experience as a primary school teacher, including several years as an assistant headteacher, with responsibility for whole school curriculum development and overseeing pupil progress and attainment. She also holds a Master’s Degree in Education Practice and an NPQ in Leading Teacher Development.
Carly has been a mentor for both student and Early Career Teachers and currently facilitates the Early Career Framework for ECTs and their mentors, delivering training at conferences and via online seminars. At Twinkl PD, she heads up quality of education professional development, a role which means she can support educators to develop their personal practice and pedagogy, something she is passionate about, on a national scale.
