Effective Feedback to Staff: Embedding a Culture of Growth

Join Sue Marks, an experienced leader and teacher trainer, as she guides you through developing strategies for delivering impactful feedback to staff. This course explores the principles of effective feedback, its importance and practical methods for implementation. Participants will discover key strategies to enhance their feedback skills, evaluate their impact and plan future steps. Through videos, readings and reflections, learners will progress at their own pace across seven modules. Upon completion and verification of a final reflection, a certificate is awarded.

Sue has over 30 years’ experience in education with the last 15 years as headteacher in both independent and mainstream schools. She has a Master’s in Educational Leadership and is studying part-time for an Education Doctorate (EdD) researching Supervision in Education. 

Her education focus is on the creation of school culture, wellbeing for all and community relationships. Sue writes for The Leaders Team at Twinkl. She is particularly passionate about helping leaders save time, remain informed and balance their workload, with her writing for the Leaders Team, by offering a range of informative and useful resources. 

Sue’s subject specialism is Science, and she also works as a teacher trainer, assessor and mentor, supporting pre-PGCE and PGCE students, delivering CPD for STEM and ASE, visiting assessor for PGCE and marker for BA Education and PGCE. She is currently working with Bath Spa University and the Education Endowment Foundation delivering teacher training for the national trial of Focus4TAPS (Teacher Assessment in Primary Science). Sue also enjoys running and cycling and has completed the London Marathon three times and cycled from Land’s End to John O’Groats twice for charity.
