Creative Summarising Strategies for Lasting Learning

Throughout the course, you’ll explore a range of summarising strategies, grounded in cognitive science and classroom research, including one-sentence summaries, graphic organisers, peer explanation and multimodal responses. With reference to current guidance and research, we will unpack the theory behind summarisation, demonstrate how to embed it meaningfully into everyday teaching and show how it supports inclusive, high-impact learning for all pupils.
