What is the "AI in Education" programme?

This is a comprehensive professional development programme consisting of five specific courses designed to help school leaders and teachers harness Artificial Intelligence safely and effectively. It covers everything from foundational definitions to school-wide policy implementation.

Is this a live webinar series?

No. The programme consists of high-quality, pre-recorded video modules and digital resources. This allows for a high production standard and the flexibility to learn at your own pace.

How long does the full bundle take to complete?

The total commitment is approximately 9 to 10 hours of structured learning. Most individual courses are 2 hours long, while the introductory course is a shorter 1-hour session.

Do I have to complete all five courses?

No. The bundle is designed with a "pick and choose" approach. While completing all five provides a comprehensive overview, staff can engage only with the modules most relevant to their specific role or current level of knowledge.

Is the learning synchronous or asynchronous?

The courses are 100% asynchronous. There are no fixed days or times; you can log in and learn whenever it suits your schedule.

How long do I have access to the materials?

Enrolment typically includes 1-year access to all course materials, allowing you to revisit resources or spread your learning out over the school year.

Can I complete the courses in segments?

Yes. Because it is self-paced, you can choose to complete a full course in one afternoon or break it down into smaller 20-minute segments over a week.

What specific topics are covered in the five courses?

  1. Introduction to AI: Foundations of ANI and Generative AI.
  2. Navigating Risks: Data security, ethics, and the digital divide.
  3. Teacher’s Guide to Practical Use: Hands-on prompting and protecting student data (PII).
  4. Policy to Practice: Governance and strategic implementation for leaders.

Is this course only for IT teachers?

Not at all. The programme is designed for all educators and school leaders, regardless of their subject area or technical background. It focuses on pedagogical application and administrative efficiency.

Are there exams or assignments?

The programme is "actionable." It includes:

Knowledge Checks: Short retrieval quizzes (3–5 questions) at the end of modules.
Practical Tasks: "Quick Action" steps, such as using an AI Audit Template or practicing prompting for lesson plans.
Final Evaluation: A final quiz to earn certification for each course.

Will I receive a certificate?

Yes. Upon successful completion of each individual course and the full bundle, you will receive a formal Twinkl PD Certificate to validate your professional development.

Is this training recognized by external bodies?

Yes, the suite is endorsed by the charity AI in Education and supports the 'Explorer' and 'Practitioner' levels of the AiEd Certified framework.

How much does the programme cost?

For schools, the bundle offers unlimited staff access for a flat fee (£240), making it a cost-effective solution for whole-school training.

How do I enrol? 

The process is designed to be quick and handled by our team:

Payment: The school administrator completes the purchase using the payment link.
Confirmation Email: Once payment is confirmed, the admin will receive an automated email from the Twinkl PD team.
User List: Simply reply to that email with a list of the staff members (names and email addresses) you wish to enroll.
Activation: Our team will complete user enrolment within 24 hours. Your staff will subsequently receive their own welcome emails containing login details, allowing them to begin the course straight away.

Q: What if a staff member forgets their password?
